1997 CAT 3406 300kW Diesel Generator Set (Sold)

This 1997 Caterpillar 300 kW diesel generator set is a heavy-duty standby power solution powered by the proven CAT 3406C turbocharged diesel engine. Built as a factory-packaged unit, this generator is rated 300 kW / 375 kVA standby at 60 Hz, 1800 RPM, producing 480V three-phase power. The unit currently shows 124 total hours following load bank testing.

The generator is equipped with a Caterpillar SR4B generator end featuring Class H insulation and is housed in a stationary sound-attenuated enclosure, making it well-suited for outdoor standby applications. Power output is delivered through a factory-installed main circuit breaker.

Controls are provided by a Caterpillar EMCP II digital control panel, offering automatic start capability, full system monitoring, and protective shutdowns. The package includes a jacket water heater and an industrial SENS battery charger to support cold-weather starting and proper standby readiness.

As a pre-emissions Caterpillar 3406C, this generator is considered non-certified / pre-Tier, which can be advantageous for export, industrial, and stationary applications where newer emissions systems are not required.

Fuel Tank has a hole in it and will be removed prior to shipping. This is a weather enclosed unit only.

This generator set will be fully inspected, load tested, and serviced before sale.
