1996 CAT 3512 1000kW Diesel Generator Set (Sold)

This 1996 Caterpillar 1000 kW diesel generator is a heavy-duty standby power solution powered by the proven CAT 3512 DITA diesel engine. Built in September 1996, this unit was factory-configured as a 1000 kW / 1250 kVA standby generator operating at 1800 RPM, 60 Hz, 480V, three-phase.

The generator is housed in a stationary, weatherproof enclosure and is mounted on an integrated base fuel tank with approximately 2,320 gallons of capacity (calculated). The package is equipped with a factory CAT EMCP II digital control panel, providing automatic start/stop capability, full system monitoring, and protective shutdowns.

Electrical output is delivered through a factory-installed 2000 amp main circuit breaker (Merlin Gerin), making this unit well-suited for large commercial, industrial, and utility standby applications. The generator end is Class H insulated and configured as a 6-lead machine, indicating a dedicated voltage configuration.

This unit includes a factory jacket water heater, supporting cold-weather starting and proper standby readiness.
