This 2007 Caterpillar 3516C diesel generator set is a heavy-duty, high-voltage portable power solution designed for large industrial, utility, and mission-critical standby and prime power applications. The unit is rated 2,000 kW standby and 1,825 kW prime at 60 Hz, operating at 1,800 RPM, and is configured for 4,160-volt, three-phase output. With only 1,786 original operating hours, this generator represents an excellent opportunity to acquire a low-hour megawatt-class Caterpillar power package.

The generator is powered by the proven CAT 3516C turbocharged and aftercooled diesel engine and is equipped with a Class H insulated, 12-wire reconnectable alternator supporting both wye and delta configurations. Controls are provided through a Caterpillar EMCP 4.4 digital control panel, offering full system monitoring, diagnostics, and protective shutdowns. Electrical output is delivered through a factory-installed Eaton main circuit breaker.

This unit is housed in a sound-attenuated, containerized enclosure for reduced noise and weather protection and is mounted on a 1,000-gallon UL-142 double-wall base fuel tank with secondary containment. The package includes a jacket water heater, heavy-duty air cleaners, multi-stage Racor fuel filtration system, electric fuel priming pump, engine-mounted gauge and shutdown panels, and a complete radiator and cooling fan assembly.
